Click on your Braincube name in the upper left corner of the Braincube page header.
It will bring you to a drop down menu with a list of all of your Databases as well as existing Quick Studies.
At the bottom of the drop down menu, you will be able to find the “ + Add A Study” button.
Click here to add a new Quick Study.

Clicking on “ + Add A Study” button will bring up a “Create A Quick Study” window.
You may now add an XLS, XLSX or a CSV data file here.

Once your file is loaded, you will see it appear in the “Create quick study” window.
You may also download the QuickStudyExample file from the FAQ (please see the image below.)

Please note that the datetime column is mandatory when creating your Quick Study.
Now, you can choose which tab of your datasheet you would like to have added for your quick study now in the drop down menu.

Additionally, you may click on "show" in order to have your variables' data types appear and modify them as needed in case Braincube didn’t choose the appropriate data types for your variables.

Once your data is added, you can connect your data from your Quick Study and add it/tie it in with data in other existing Databases by clicking the “Add datum” button.

Once you click on “Add Datum” a “Choose base” search menu will appear. You can search for the Database that you would like to connect your Quick Study too.

Once you choose your base, you will have to choose a variable from the existing database in the “Choose joint variable” search bar.
⚠️ you have to choose a variable with unique modalities. That mean no duplicated values otherwise braincube does not know wich line has to be linked to your quick study.
Then Braincube suggest the variable in your quick study that best matches the one previously selected.
You will get all the data for your chosen variable from your existing Database up to the point that you create your Quick Study.
Once your Quick Study is created, the chosen variable will not continue to update automatically like it does in your Database.

Once that is all set, you can click on the button “Create the quick study.”
Once your Quick Study is created, you can go to your Quick Study’s variable page by clicking the “Show variable page” button.

And that will bring you to your new Quick Study’s base!
