A network proxy acts as a go-between for a user's device and the internet, enhancing privacy by hiding the user's IP address, enabling content filtering for security, caching frequently accessed data for quicker retrieval, and allowing administrators to monitor and control internet usage.
Beginning with IoT Server Configuration version 1.0.2, which was released alongside IoT Server 4.1.0, users can now integrate a proxy into their IoT Server. This proxy setting can be found and adjusted in the Machine configuration section within the IoT server configuration application.
To configure the proxy settings, input the proxy server URL in the field labeled proxy server URL (1), and then click the Save button (2) to apply the changes. Upon successful application, a green banner will appear to confirm the action has been executed.

Currently, proxy authentication is not supported.
