WITHOUT LINE CREATION

External Operations = Data Link

🚨 Pre-requisite : Resulting index

The Resulting Index is the first operation to create in a Child or Output table. It is thus used to indicate the destination index of the next operations among copy, group by, group by split and pivot.

The content is computed by comparing the value of a cell of a source variable with the values of a destination variable.

Mapping of equality

This mapping is used when you have only 1 line for each modality in the source table.
If you have more than 1 line, you have to choose the Mapping Groupby instead of the mapping of equality.

To take data you have to check them in the "List". When there is equality, the contents of the checked columns are copied.

Options "Compute every time" and "Put empty value when mapping failed" are checked by default and are highly recommended.

The source data comes from lines that are in "Ready" status.
⚠️ If a line is in "Not Ready" status, be careful, the previous result (if there was data) will be replace by "".

Source and destination variables could be in 2 different tables or in the same table. In this last case we call that an "internal mapping".

Mapping Groupby

Mapping GroupBy replace the External Groupby + Mapping we did in the past to link data. Now we can do that with only one operation.
In this operation you can choose the value you want EXCEPT the "list" that is only for the mapping of equality.

Mapping between

Mapping Between allows to copy data (from a source table to a destination table) on a complete period of time thanks to a StartTime and an EndTime.
You can have an "eventually equality source" (in the source table) and an "eventually equality destination" (in the destination table) if you have to take into account an additional parameter like the line number or a special phase
