A security upgrade (January, 23th 2025) is incompatible with the NTLM authentication protocol.
This protocol is mainly associated with older versions of Samba or MSSQL (non-exhaustive list).
As the NTLM protocol has been deprecated for several years, we strongly recommend updating your systems to ensure optimal security.
If an immediate update is not feasible, we have provided a specific option that can be activated in your IoT Server’s configuration to maintain compatibility with NTLM. Please note that products (connectors and nodes) using this technology will consequently have reduced security
To enable compatibility, navigate to the “Machine Configuration” menu in the IoT Server Configuration and activate the compatibility option in the Security section.
A confirmation window will appear, warning you of the potential security risks and requesting confirmation to proceed with activating compatibility.
