There are four main type of situations you might see in dials :
1. No dials appear at all:
- This probably has to do with the configuration of your live rules or the display. Ensure the following:
- Configured Live Display Locations match variable Locations
- Production Standard is activated for Braincube Live
- Production Standard conditions are met (typically line speed, grade etc)
2. The "Since X Minutes" is longer than expected:
- This means Live is not updating and there is a problem with receiving data or the back end data base
- Contact your extraction owner and then Braincube for support
3. Dials and Rules are gray but have a value:

- This means data is updating but there is no data in the most recent minute. This may indicate an extraction error, or a filling error.
- Contact Braincube and/or your extraction owner for support
4. Dials are gray and have no value:
- If it concerns a calculated variable, the Live is not able to display value for :
- aggregate calculated variables like SUM([V1],{0})
- moving calculation like moving average with a "time after" requested (because in this type of calculation Braincube needs values after each dots but as the Live takes into account the last value received there is no value after this dot)
==> If you are not concerned by these two types of calculated variables, you can create a ToDo for the Service (topic data) to fix the issue.
- If it concerns a tag sent to our server, this indicates that the tag data has not updated in a long time. If the "Since X Minutes" last updated time is normal, this is an issue with the tags themselves.
- Check the tag data at the data source
- Contact your extraction owner for support
