HOW TO DUPLICATE DASHBOARD TABS ?

In the latest update to the Dashboard App, users will find the Tab Duplication feature that empowers users to interact more seamlessly with charts and metrics. Outlined below are the new changes, along with clear instructions on how to implement them.

Users now have the ability to duplicate an existing tab onto an active dashboard or a newly created dashboard.

Once you choose the tab you’d like to duplicate, you can add it to:

  • A current dashboard (which is selected by default)
  • Choose a different, existing dashboard
  • Or create a new dashboard, complete with one empty tab and the copied tab

Name the tab (mandatory)

  • The default name of the copied tab is "copy of {name of the copied tab}"
  • If a tab is named "copy of {name of the copied tab}", the naming convention goes as "copy of {name of the copied tab} 1" (then 2, 3, 4, etc.)
  • The default selected icon of the copied tab is the same of the source tab

The copied tab will be positioned right after the original tab that was duplicated in the selected Dashboard.

Once you duplicate your tab and hit “Save”:

  • If duplicating a tab to the current dashboard, the duplicated tab automatically becomes active.
  • When duplicating a tab to an existing dashboard, users will receive a confirmation notification confirming the action with the text 'Duplication of the tab {name of the tab} completed successfully,' accompanied by a convenient navigation button directly to the duplicated tab.
  • With the creation of a new dashboard, the users will have the same confirmation notification and a direct navigation button for added convenience.

The duplication functionality can be accessed either from an open tab or directly from the 'Manage Tabs' interface.

The entities of the resulting tab are copied without considering any activated global filters.
