When "Values" is selected for category variables, only one value can be displayed in the table. If there are multiple values for a variable for the period, a "-" is displayed. In such a case, it can be helpful to apply a filter to look at only certain conditions in a period to return a value as desired.
This is demonstrated with a category Day variable that returns the day of the date. For periods that span two days, the table returns "-" but for periods that span only one day, the day category value is returned.
