All limits explicitly defined
Please note: You must have at least 3 specifications set in order for a dial to work appropriately.
If both inside and outside specification limits have been explicitly defined, these limits are used to identify ranges.
Example: Different Inside and Outside limits

Example: Inside limits = Outside limits
No yellow zone is defined

All limits not explicitly defined
If limits have not been explicitly defined, they will be calculated by Braincube as follows:
If only the Outside limits are defined:
Lower/upper inside limits are calculated by adding/substracting 10% of the outside specification range to the lower/upper outside limits.
Example:

If only the Inside limits are defined:
The inside limits are converted to outside limits. To find the green range, Braincube takes 10% of the range of this variable that we will add to the min and subtract from the max.
In other words:
Outside calculated = Inside
Inside calculated = outside calculated +/-10% of (USL-LSL)
Example :
If multiple rules or recipes exist for one variable, the “max of the min limits” and the “min of the max limits", both explicitly defined and calculated, are used on the single variable dial.
Help: My color ranges aren't all displayed
If all the Limits are defined, the Braincube Live calculated the gauges to have :
- 33% of LSL (Lower specification limits)
- 33% of Target
- 33% of USL (Upper specification limits)
It happens that we cannot see the red zone if we have more than 33% represented:
