First, the Location setting of your variable needs to be checked in the Live configuration.
- Verify the Location setting of the variable
- Confirm that that location is checked in the Live configuration
To add a dial with red and yellow areas to a Live display:
- Add the variable to a Live-activated Production standard: Production Standards Catalog.
- Add the variable to a Live-activated Analysis rule: Analysis Catalog.
Note that in both of these two cases, the current operating conditions must match the conditions defined in the activated specification or rule.
You can also add a dial using the Add variable button on the Live display. The variable will appear like this:
These dials only show up for the users that added these
- Select Add variables
- Select variables to add (you may select multiple variables)
- Apply changes
Note that in the Rules view, such variables show up under the "My Variables" banner. In the Dials view, if a "My Variable" also has another rule applied, the dial will show up with specification limits when the conditions for that specification are met, otherwise dials will be displayed as blue "My Variable" Dial.
